Abstract:
Analyzing interdependency among software components, in a large Component Based Software (CBS) system, is still a challenging issue in Component Based Software Engineering (CBSE). We propose the representation of interdependency among software components as a Component Interaction Graph (CIG). We make use of a well known data structure consisting of “two linear arrays” to represent the CIG.We also have experimented with a possible CIG for a CBS to show the quantitative characteristics of the interdependencies among software components and understand the ways in which interdependencies can be managed/ minimized.
